Michael Bertorelli these cats are everything you can imagine contemporary Chicago musicians to be. i totally love their nod to past present and future. it takes simple genius to pull this stuff off and they're got it in spades.

about

Ego Chicago, Illinois

Ego is the long-standing collaboration of three Chicago natives who met in their teens and have been playing together since. They liken their music to a magical tree with punk roots, a rock n roll trunk, bluesy branches, noisey leaves, and psychadelic fruit. Track Name: Landscape with the Fall of Icarus
take a leap from the air
looks impossible
spread our wings with no fear
nothing's impossible

what you said flew over my head
birds are everywhere
tried to figure out what it meant
anyway everywhere
take a leap from the air
looks impossible
spread our wings with no fear
nothings impossible
Track Name: Friends in Time
O my long and winding soul
through years and back I go
on times unbinding seas
they are all that's left of me
but fates do as they please
Crawling on their knees
toward mortal faring deeds
their love forsake
Track Name: Assuming the Form
You're like a wild animal
oh yes you can and will
i love you like an animal
i know that you love animals
i can't shake it just yet
i can't shake it just yet

I know you're always passing through
I know you always see me on the bill
I've heard the rumors that are so untrue
You know I think about you
i can't shake it just yet
i can't shake it just yet

I know a lot of animals
run at me wild animal
stop me with your sign animal
take me to your sign
i can't shake it just yet
i can't shake it just yet
